He has also audited non-profits and the public sector.

John S. Bain, Ph.D., FCCA, FCA, CMA, CISA, CFM, CFE, MAFF, CSAR, CAMS

Engagement Partner

John has over 36 years of post-qualification accounting and audit experience, including providing attest and consulting services to public and privately held companies. These companies range in size from startups to hundreds of millions in revenue. He is the founder of UHY-Bain & Associates (UHY-BA) and has served in many client-facing management and leadership roles.

Shoneva Abraham, CPA

Audit Partner

Shoneva brings over 11 years of audit experience to the team. Her past clients include airlines, private banks, insurance companies and non-profit organizations. Shoneva has been a part of the HLB Bahamas team since August 2013. She previously served as an associate auditor at a Big Four firm for three years.

Ms. Turnquest is a graduate of University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (cum laude). Her Certified Public Accountant’s License was issued by the State of Colorado in May of 2015. She is also licensed with the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants.
